The management of participatory processes, or facilitation, is the art of organizing groups of people interested in making decisions or generate specific products through the experiences, knowledge and interactions of the members of the same group, themselves.

With the facilitation it is possible to reach shared products, in short times. It is possible to take decisions with the participatory approach, the shared approach, the plural and inclusive of all points of view, as well as of all the priorities, interests and specificity approach.

In the words of Pino De Sario facilitation "... is a consultation of a few hours (the time of a meeting) or a few days, is usually held around a table or with willing participants in a horseshoe free space; it is delivered by a single professional or a team of facilitators; is an intervention in terms of acceleration towards consensus or to specific results. It is tangible, both in the sphere of relational results, that in the decision, and financial results. It generates confidence, it is a pre-requisite to achieve objectives. "

It is used in meetings on boards of directors, on board of advisors, in the assemblies of associations, in scientific boards, in working groups and in economic contexts: prior to analysis, to business combinations, to the formation of consortia, to a.t.i., to new collaborations, to the analysis for the establishment of foundations and associations; in familiar contexts: for generational transfers, family office, divisions and successions, changes in capital structures, in the simulation, for new forms of organization, for training, for divisions and successions, changes in capital structures, changes in the simulation, changes of new organizational formulas, changes in training, and corporate changes.

The consultant-facilitator is an expert in reading the "intangible" and in overcoming disciplinary, mental and cultural barriers, as well as those relatives to membership hierarchy. The consultant-facilitator doesn’t use a hierarchical approach. He knows how to pool differences, obtaining opportunities.

The philosophy is: “comprehend-and-produce ... "

After completing the course, participants will be able to manage a multi actor workgroup, and to arrive at a range of possible tangible products in which all members of the group can recognize.

The aspiring facilitator will acquire management techniques constructive ideas, to overcome the main difficulties and the inclusion of the views in the consensus building.
